Historian Tom Mosley and The Patoka River National Wildlife Refuge

April 7, 2018 @ 9:00 am - 11:00 am

The Friends of The Patoka River National Wildlife Refuge invites the public to a presentation by local historian, geographer and storyteller, Tom Mosley, on April 7, at 9 a.m. CST.

Mosley will discuss historically important geographical, social, political and economic features of the area that make the Refuge such an interesting place.

The impact of Indians, settlers, trappers, slaves, soldiers, and politicians will be discussed, and interested participants can walk the same paths that they did during the outing.

Details on the outing: From Oakland City, go east on State Road 64 and follow the brown Snakey Point signs. Turn left (north) on CR 1275 E. Continue to follow the Snakey Point signs until you reach County Road 75 S. From there, follow the special event signs to the destination.

If it is raining, the program will be rescheduled for April 14th.

For further information, call (812) 677-2318.
