Indiana Unemployment; Daviess & Gibson Counties Tie for State’s Lowest Jobless Rate in January

Daviess and Gibson Counties shared the lowest unemployment rate in the state in January at 2.8%.

For Daviess County, that’s four tenths of a percent higher than January of 2023.

For Gibson County, it was a half percent higher.

Dubois County had a jobless rate of 3.0% in January, a half percent higher than the year before.

Martin County’s rate of 3.3% was also a half percent higher.

Knox County’s unemployment rate in January stood at 3.6%, six tenths of a percent higher than January of 2023.

Pike County’s rate of 4.0% last month was seven tenths of a per cent higher than January of last year.

Sullivan County’s jobless rate in January was 4.6%, seven tenths of a percent higher than the year before.

And Greene County had a 4.8% unemployment rate in January, also seven tenths of a percent higher than January of 2023.

The average unemployment rate of Indiana’s 92 counties in January was 3.8%.
