Refinery Issues Boosting Gas Prices

Gas prices are going to continue to stay higher than they should be.

GasBuddy analyst Patrick DeHaan says the outage at the BP refinery in Whiting, Indiana has been more significant than previously thought.

He says, based on the latest information, the refinery has still not gotten back to full capacity.

That in turn is causing gas prices in the region to stay higher around $3.20 to $3.30 a gallon.

He says relief may come soon with the change over from winter to summer blend gasoline, which is cheaper to make.
