A Jasper man has been arrested for intimidation against a public official.
According to Indiana State Police, 24-year-old Joshua Wasson sent threatening statements to Indiana Lt. Governor Micah Beckwith on Meta Platforms, formerly Facebook.
Wasson has also been charged with Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Paraphernalia, both misdemeanors.
During Wasson’s Initial hearing Friday in Dubois Circuit Court, Acting Judge Karen Werner set bond at $5,000 cash only and placed Wasson on electronic home monitoring should he post bond.
As conditions of his bond, Judge Werner placed him on moderate pre-trial monitoring and ordered that he have no contact with the victim in the case and not possess firearms while the case is pending.
