In baseball:
A single run in the seventh was enough for the North Knox Warriors to defeat the host Linton Miners 3-2 at the Linton baseball sectional. Two wild pitches allowed Carter Becher to score the eventual winning run in the top of the seventh.
Levi Pahmeier turned in a stellar complete game outing, as he allowed seven hits and two runs, while striking out 11 and walking only one. The Warriors take on Sullivan in the second semi-final on Monday at 1 pm; hear the game on 105.7 WUZR. The first semifinal that day pits Eastern Greene against West Vigo. Sullivan advanced with a 5-3 win over Barr-Reeve in game 2 last night.
