The Indiana Office of Utility Consumer Counselor has filed a petition asking state regulators to reconsider their recent approval of the AES Indiana rate case.
The agency argues that the Utility Regulatory Commission erred in its June decision to approve a settlement agreement between the utility and several large consumers.
Consumer Counselor Abby Gray is urging regulators to re-examine the ruling, stating that local ratepayers should not be forced to cover expensive legal fees and unreasonable expenses to pad shareholder profits.
