Generations, a division of Vincennes University’s Workforce Development and Community Services, has received nearly $90,000 from AmeriCorps to support older adult volunteer service in Dubois and Pike counties.
The grant will expand the agency’s volunteer services for residents age 55 and older in Dubois and Pike counties, where it has operated since 1975.
AmeriCorps Senior Volunteers will support older adults and caregivers through support groups, social events, memory cafés, fraud prevention, food and nutrition services, tax assistance, health education and other community needs.
