Indiana State Police say six people suffered non-life-threatening injuries Saturday after a driver doing burnouts lost control and pushed a large metal barrier into the crowd at Wabash Valley Dragway in Terre Haute.
The driver left the scene.
Police later located the car, but the driver was not with it.
The driver, 20-year-old Merick Colson of Danville, later turned himself in.
Colson faces charges of criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon, leaving the scene of a crash involving serious bodily injury, and criminal recklessness.
Colson is being held without bond in the Vigo County Jail.
