A Winchester woman is now charged with murder in the July death of Lynn Town Marshal Brad Fisher, who was struck and killed while deploying stop sticks during a police chase.
Police say Maci Atkinson was driving a stolen van and fleeing several drug‑related warrants when she hit Fisher, then later crashed into a dump truck.
Fisher died after being hospitalized in critical condition.
Atkinson faces additional charges including resisting Law Enforcement, Attempted Aggravated Battery, Criminal Recklessness, Auto Theft and Unlawful Possession of a Syringe.
She remains in the Randolph County Jail, and prosecutors are seeking life without parole.
Her initial hearing is set for September 14th.
