United Way of Knox County will bring volunteers together across the community for its annual Day of Caring on Thursday and Friday.
Day of Caring connects local businesses, organizations, students, and community members with service projects benefiting nonprofits, schools, and other organizations throughout Knox County.
Volunteers will assist with projects such as painting, landscaping, cleanup, organizing, food collection, and other facility improvements.
The event will also include a community food drive at participating locations throughout Knox County.
Food collection will take place Thursday, from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. and Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Donations will benefit local food pantries and families experiencing food insecurity.
