Vincennes University has received a nearly $1.71 million U.S. Department of Education grant to continue and expand its Federal TRIO Talent Search program, Project ASPIREE.
The five-year grant provides $341,500 annually to help 683 students in Daviess, Martin, Sullivan, Lawrence, and Pike counties prepare for, apply to, and succeed in postsecondary education.
The grant expands VU’s Southern Indiana outreach, adding full services in Pike and Lawrence counties to existing coverage in Daviess, Martin, and Sullivan counties.
Project ASPIREE offers free year-round guidance to middle and high school students, adult learners, and people re-entering the workforce, connecting them with degrees, technical certificates, apprenticeships, and trade credentials aligned with regional industry needs.
