In Dubois County — a Huntingburg couple is jailed on neglect and animal cruelty charges.
Police were called Tuesday afternoon to an apartment on North Walnut Street in Huntingburg, after someone heard a woman yelling for help.
When officers arrived, they say they found a large number of dogs and animal feces inside — and a juvenile living in the home.
37-year-old Dayron Pavon Rodriguez and 34-year-old Yisel Correa, both of Huntingburg, were arrested and charged with two felony counts of Neglect of a Dependent and one felony count of Cruelty to an Animal.
They appeared in court Wednesday.
