Police are searching southern Sullivan County for a 32-year-old Washington man accused of stabbing a driver before fleeing the scene of a crash.
Indiana State Police identify the suspect as Max Underhill.
Investigators say he was a passenger in a blue Dodge Challenger traveling north on U.S. 41 near County Road 975 South, south of Carlisle, when he stabbed the driver.
Underhill ran away after the car crashed.
Police believe he is on foot and may be heading back toward Daviess County.
