Construction is moving fast on Holiday World’s new water roller coaster.

Crews “crowned” the top of the 90-foot lift hill for the Cannonball! coaster Friday afternoon, and the station building is already underway.

When it opens in May, it will be the first water roller coaster in the Midwest, with the tallest drop of its kind in North America at 75 feet.

Park President Matt Eckert called the 1,000 feet of track an exciting milestone and says construction is on schedule.

Meanwhile, Holiday World has just five days left in its season, wrapping up Happy Halloween Weekends this Saturday and Sunday.
