As daylight hours shrink, INDOT is reminding drivers to stay alert for road crews.
The agency is equipping highway workers with flashing green “Guardian Angel” safety lights through Project Greenlight.
A study found the lights make workers 89 percent more visible.
About 1,100 units are now in use statewide.
