Indiana Gas Taxes Suspended Another Month

By John Szink Jun 4, 2026 | 6:38 AM

Indiana Governor Mike Braun is extending the state’s gas taxes suspension until July 7th.

The move is saving drivers over 62-cents on every gallon of gas purchased.

Braun says the savings at the pump are “kind of a lifeline through a tough period like this” and adds whatever happens at the federal level, Hoosiers need to be able to get through it.

Indiana’s average gas price according to Triple-A is three-dollars-55-cents as a result of the tax suspension, while the national average is at four-dollars-24-cents a gallon.
