The president of Oakland City University says donors are still working to collect the one-million-dollars needed to cover the last two paychecks of employees along with tomorrow’s check.
Ron Dempsey says he is hopeful the donors will start moving the money to the university as soon as possible.
Most OCU employees were laid off on Sunday and undergraduate programs have been suspended until the fall of 2027.
