Indiana Department of Transportation workers are rebuilding a busy Greene County intersection into a roundabout as part of a safety project.
The work is happening at State Road 45 and State Road 445, where officials said crashes have been a recurring issue, including at least 14 serious crashes over a two-year span.
INDOT Southwest spokesperson Gary Brian says the goal is to reduce severe angle and T-bone crashes.
Workers are converting the former four-way intersection into a roundabout.
The roadway is currently reduced to a three-way stop while construction continues.
