Early Morning Quake Reported in Southern Illinois

A 3.5 magnitude earthquake struck southern Illinois early Monday morning.

The U.S. Geological Survey says the quake was centered just under four miles northeast of West Salem, Illinois.

It was reported at 3:05 a.m.

The quake was felt in Indiana as well with residents in Vincennes, Jasper and the Evansville area reporting the shaking.
