Naval Surface Warfare Center Crane reports it has marked a major milestone with a ribbon cutting for its new Metal Additive Manufacturing Repair Center. (MADMAN)
Crane says that by using advanced “cold spray” technology, its team can now repair high-value maritime and aerospace parts at NSWC Crane.
That reduces reliance on long supply chains and gets critical assets back to the fleet in days rather than months.
NSWC is the first Navy organic industrial base facility certified to advanced NAVSEA cold spray standards.
