Indiana Senator Jim Banks has introduced new legislation aimed at ending birthright citizenship for the children of undocumented immigrants and birth tourists.
Following a recent Supreme Court decision striking down an executive order on the issue, Banks introduced the Citizenship Act of 2026.
The bill defines undocumented entry as an “invasion,” utilizing an exception recognized by the Supreme Court that excludes the children of foreign invaders from automatic citizenship.
