Indiana’s State Board of Finance has approved payments to governments to compensate for revenue lost during the gas tax holiday in April and May.
Governor Mike Braun’s suspension of the Gas Excise Tax and Gas Use Tax aimed to lower costs for Hoosiers at the pump.
The State’s Comptroller’s Office will give out over $120 million in reimbursements to different funds, with nearly 40 million going directly to local governments.
Payments are expected to be made by November 1st.
