47 Democratic Precinct Committee members from Indiana Senate District 39 met in Washington Thursday night and nominated Vincennes Mayor Joe Yochum as the party’s nominee for 39th District State Senator.
Yochum replaces Joseph Baughman who withdrew from the race and will face Republican Jeff Ellington in November.
His top issue is new laws that have resulted in drastic cuts to municipal revenue across the State of Indiana.
Senate District 39 includes all of Greene, Martin and Sullivan counties, plus portions of Daviess, Knox, Owen and Vigo counties.
