State Police arrested a Louisiana man in Terre Haute Saturday after he fled a traffic stop for doing burnouts near the Wabash Valley Dragway.

The driver reached speeds of approximately 100 mph and ran several red lights, before attempting to turn onto the I-70 westbound ramp, losing control, and going into an uncontrolled spin.

When a state trooper arrived at the scene, the driver of the car accelerated towards the trooper’s vehicle, hitting it head-on.

Another trooper pushed the vehicle into a culvert where the driver got out and ran.

A Terre Haute Police officer tazed the subject, identified as 21-year-old Joseph Keyon of Iberia, Louisiana

Keyon is charged with Resisting Law Enforcement Causing Bodily Injury, Criminal Recklessness, Criminal Recklessness with a Deadly Weapon, Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated (Endangerment), and Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated.

During this incident a trooper received minor injuries, and two state police commissions received damage.
