The worst of the White River flooding appears to be over, however, Jason Puma with the National Weather Service in Indianapolis says impacts will continue for several days.
Puma said Monday the crest appeared to be in Morgan County.
Flood warnings remain in effect because many areas are still well above flood stage.
Flooding will remain a concern in parts of Morgan, Owen and Greene Counties, including near Bloomfield and farther downstream.
Puma says most people in southern Indiana who live along the river have never seen the river come up this high before.
He says the current flooding may be comparable to historic flooding dating back more than a century.
