East Fork Water in Martin County issued a boil order Friday for customers who live South of the Whitfeild tanks and who have experienced an interruption of water service.
The boil order will be in effect over the next few days, until further notice.
Impacted customers should boil water for three minutes prior to use, then cool and store in the refrigerator.
Use only boiled water for drinking, brushing your teeth, diluting fruit juices, and all other food preparation.
As an alternative, use bottled drinking water.
