A Dubois County man accused of threatening Lieutenant Governor Micah Beckwith has been sentenced to probation.
The Indiana Capitol Chronicle reports 25-year-old Joshua Wasson of Jasper pleaded guilty in Dubois Circuit Court to felony intimidation, along with misdemeanor charges of marijuana and paraphernalia possession.
A second intimidation charge and a harassment charge were dropped as part of the plea deal.
A judge sentenced Wasson to 544 days on the intimidation count, but suspended most of that to probation, citing credit for time already served.
As part of his probation, Wasson is barred from contacting Beckwith and must complete anger management counseling, along with substance abuse and mental health treatment.
