Indiana State Fair officials say repeated rain and heat created major challenges during this year’s event.
Fair leaders told lawmakers that weather-related closures and poor conditions contributed to a drop in attendance and nearly one-point-five million-dollars in lost projected revenue.
Officials are also reviewing severe weather policies after concerns were raised about visitors being denied entry while activities continued inside some buildings.
The State Fair Commission says safety will remain its top priority.
