By John Szink Oct 23, 2026 | 7:08 AM

The Indiana Supreme Court has rejected the bid of death row prisoner Jeffrey Weisheit to delay his execution to have brain scans.

Justices say in their ruling that Governor Braun can arrange the testing without a court order.

No clemency decision had been announced Thursday.

He is scheduled to be put to death before sunrise on November 5th at the Indiana State Prison in Michigan City.

Weisheit was sentenced to death for the 2010 murders of eight-year-old Alyssa and five-year-old Caleb Lynch at his home near Evansville.
