With Indiana’s election less than a week away, retired civics teacher Bobbi Fisher says voters need to take responsibility for what they share online.
Fisher, who taught in Cass County for more than 30 years, urges people to fact-check memes, ads and posts before hitting share, since false claims can reach thousands with one click.
She also encourages voters to research candidates, noting that one race in Indiana’s spring primary came down to just three votes.
Fisher says, “Democracy is not a spectator sport.”
Election Day is November third.
