A North Daviess Community Schools teacher is getting a grant to help students share the joy of reading.
Our Community Foundation awarded Kami Giesler a $250 Teaching Innovator Grant for a project called Book Bento Boxes.
Students will create boxes for books they’ve read.
The lid shows the book cover, and inside are items tied to the story.
Students will present their boxes to the class, and the finished boxes will go on public display in the school library.
