Jasper Memorial Hospital Offering Stroke Survivors Support Group

Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper, in conjunction with University of Louisville Health, is offering a new, FREE support group where stroke survivors and their family/caregivers can talk openly with others who share similar experiences. The first support group will be held on Tuesday, September 22nd, from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. Pre-registration is not required to attend.

Knox Co. Chamber Golf Classic

September 17

The Chamber of Commerce of Knox County Golf Classic will be held on Thursday, September 17th. Registration begins at 10:30 a.m. with Lunch at 11 a.m., and Tee Time at 12 p.m. It will be held at the High Pointe Golf Course in Bicknell. There will be hole contests, prizes, and free lunch! Sponsorship and Registration is due on Wednesday, September 9th.

Martin Co. COVID-19 Testing Site

September 15 - 19

The Martin County Health Department says COVID-19 testing is available at the Martin County Community Building at 2668 US Highway 50 in Loogootee. Hours are 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM through Friday September 18th and 9:00 AM until 2:00 PM on Saturday, September 19th. Health officials say the drive through clinic is free and confidential. Anyone over the age of 2 years can be tested. Testing is done by the Indiana Department of Health.

Good Samaritan Hospice Grief Camp for Children

Good Samaritan Hospice is offering a grief camp for children ages 5-12 who have experienced the death of a loved one. Children will enjoy games, a nature hike, butterfly release, and more. Camp Memiki is free and takes place on Saturday, September 12th at Camp Arthur in Bruceville from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
