Patoka Lake Zombie Hunt

September 3 - October 31

Get ready to scare up some fun at Patoka Lake’s second Zombie Hunt, which begins Friday, Sept. 3, and runs through Oct. 31. Purchase your exclusive zombie hunting license for $5 at the reservoir office, main gate, modern campground gate, camp store, or Nature Center. Then it’s time to hunt some zombies. Check-In Time for Breastfeeding Moms

September 15 - October 31

Memorial Hospital in Jasper offers a support group, “Check-In Time” for breastfeeding moms. The program allows new and experienced breastfeeding moms to have an open discussion with Certified Lactation Consultants while also including weight checks for baby. It’s held every Wednesday, from 4:45 – 5:45 p.m. in Board Conference Room ABC.

MHHCC Walk-In, Infant Weight Checks

September 15 - November 30

Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center’s lactation consultants are offering free walk-in, infant weight checks every Wednesday from 9-11 a.m. Lactation consults will also be available by appointment if needed. Weight checks will be held in the First Level Conference Room.

YMCA of Vincennes Volleyball Registration

September 22 - October 14

Gather your friends and stay fit together with a little friendly, fun competition. Emphasizing teamwork, volleyball at the Y offers recreation and skill development for adults 18 and older. The fee is $300 and play begins on October 21st. There will be a 6 Week season plus single elimination tourney. Pick up a registration form at the front desk of the YMCA of Vincennes.

“Stop the Bleed”

Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center’s Ambulance Services is offering “Stop The Bleed,” an informational program focusing on the immediate response to bleeding. Stroke Survivors Workshop

September 28 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper, in conjunction with University of Louisville Health, offers a FREE support group where stroke survivors and their family/caregivers can talk openly with others who share similar experiences. The next support group will be held on Tuesday, September 28th., from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. in the Medical Arts Building Conference Center located at 721 W. 13th Street in Jasper. Pre-registration is not required

Grief Supports Series Offered by Jasper Memorial Hospital

Drive-Thru Flu Clinic

September 30

The Dubois County Health Department will be offering more opportunities to take advantage of our drive-thru flu clinics for any individuals 12 years of age and older. We do ask anyone under the age of 12 to come inside the Health Department to receive their vaccine.  The flu vaccine is covered by Medicare, Medicaid, and most private health insurances.
