Lactation Consults at Jasper MHHCC

April 19 - June 30

Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center’s lactation consultants are offering free walk-in, infant weight checks every Wednesday from 9-11 a.m. Lactation consults will also be available by appointment if needed by calling 812-996-0383. Weight checks will be held in the First Level Conference Room. COVID-19 Protocols will be in effect.

Perinatal Loss Support

Expectant parents who suddenly lose their child often experience a wide range of emotions and grief. Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper offers “Perinatal Loss Support” to assist those who have experienced the loss of a child through the grieving process. MHHCC Offering “Change the Life you Live: Diabetes”

Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper is offering, “Change the Life you Live: Diabetes.” These classes offer the opportunity to achieve optimal health while living with diabetes. Book Discussion Moved to Pantheon

June 15 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

The Book discussion for the book The Year We Left Home (part of the one state/one story grant at the Red Skelton Museum) has been moved to the Pantheon due to a planned power outage at VU. It will still be at 7 pm on Tuesday, June 15th. If people would like to be a part of the discussion, free books are still available at the museum, the library or the Knox County Chamber.

Washington Park & Recreation Board Meeting

June 16 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

The Washington Park and Recreation Board will hold a meeting on June 16th at 7:00 PM in the Council Chambers located at 200 Harned Avenue. All interested citizens and patrons of any of the three parks – East Side, Longfellow, and South Park, are welcome to attend. Comments and suggestions would be appreciated.

WorkOne Southwest to Host In-Person Job fair June 17th

Train Coming to the Dubois Co. Museum

June 17 @ 5:30 pm - 8:00 pm

The train is a coming… The Dubois County Museum’s Train Club is working to finish the train tracks and scenery they began work on several years ago and will be presenting the completed train room on Thursday, June 17th, for the Third Thursday Free Night program. The museum will be open from 5:30-8:00 p.m. on that night.

Stroke Survivor and Caregiver Support Group

Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper, in conjunction with University of Louisville Health, offers a free stroke survivor and caregiver support group. The next monthly meeting is Tuesday, June 22nd., from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. in the Medical Arts Building Conference Center located at 721 W. 13th Street in Jasper. Pre-registration is not required.
