Patoka Lake Archery Lessons

July 3 @ 9:00 am - July 20 @ 11:30 am

Patoka Lake will host a beginner archery lesson on Sunday, July 3rd from 9 to 11:30 a.m. The event is an introduction to the sport and is open to adults and children ages 8 and older. All archery equipment will be provided. It’s limited to 15 participants, and advance registration is required. The cost is $5 per person and is non-refundable. Call the Patoka Lake Nature Center at 812-685-2447 to reserve a spot.

Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia Caregiver Support Group.

Jasper Memorial Hospital’s Caring Hands Senior Services sponsors an Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia Caregiver Support Group. The next meeting is Tuesday, July 5th from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. in the Medical Arts Conference Center. COPD Educational Meeting at Memorial Hospital

Sisters Of Providence Taizé Prayer In-Person or Livestream Service

Join the Sisters of Providence for song, quiet contemplation and inspired readings during the ecumenical Taizé Prayer in-person or livestream service from 7-8 p.m., on Tuesday, July 12th. Persons of all faith traditions are invited to these prayer services, which take place on the second Tuesday of each month. Patoka Lake Hosting Kayak Tour

July 16

Patoka Lake is hosting a kayak tour on Saturday, July 16th at 9 a.m. leaving from the Wall’s Lake boat ramp. Participants should arrive at the ramp no later than 8:45 a.m. to unload equipment and register. Non-motorized lake permits are required and will be sold at the event for $5. Permits can also be purchased at the Patoka Lake office from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily. For more information call the Nature Center at 812-685-2447.

The “Hearty Hearts” Rehab Club is an organization formed specifically for all former and current Memorial Hospital Cardiac Rehab and Angina Heart Therapy patients and their families. Sisters of Providence of Saint Mary-of-the-Woods, Indiana Annual Summer Used Book Sale

The Sisters of Providence of Saint Mary-of-the-Woods, Indiana, will hold their annual summer used book sale from Friday, July 29th, through Monday, August 8th. Times are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., daily. It will take place in the Foley Room at Providence Spirituality & Conference Center. Items are not pre-priced, but freewill donations will be accepted. All proceeds will benefit the Sisters of Providence mission and ministries.
